These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Job Bookers Routing API ("the API", "the Service"). By subscribing to the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Job Bookers, Norfolk, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").
The Job Bookers Routing API provides UK postcode-to-postcode drive time and distance data, postcode coordinate lookups, and street name lookups via a REST API. The Service is intended for use by developers and businesses building applications that require UK routing data.
To use the Service you must subscribe via our payment provider (Stripe). Upon successful payment, an API key will be issued to the email address you provide. You are responsible for:
You must not share your API key with third parties or include it in publicly accessible code.
You may use the Service for any lawful purpose. You must not:
Each API key is licensed for use in a single production deployment. A deployment is defined as one application, website, or service. If you wish to use the API across multiple production deployments, each deployment requires its own active subscription.
Enterprise customers requiring multiple deployments should contact us at hello@jobbookers.co.uk to discuss appropriate pricing.
You must not cache, store, or persist API responses for the purpose of avoiding future API calls. Each routing query must be made to the API in real time. Transient in-memory caching within a single request lifecycle is permitted; persistent storage of routing results for reuse is not.
This restriction protects the integrity of our dataset and ensures that subscription pricing reflects actual usage. Breach of this clause may result in immediate termination of your account.
The Service is billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are as displayed on our pricing page at the time of subscription.
Each plan includes a fixed monthly call allocation. Calls are counted against this allocation from the 1st of each calendar month. When the allocation is exhausted, the API will return a 429 rate_limit_exceeded response until the allocation resets.
There are no overage charges. If you consistently reach your limit, you should upgrade to a higher plan.
We aim to provide reliable, high-availability service but do not guarantee any specific uptime level. The Service is provided "as is". We reserve the right to perform maintenance, which may cause temporary interruptions. We will endeavour to minimise disruption and will not charge for periods of planned maintenance where possible.
We are not liable for interruptions caused by third-party infrastructure (including hosting providers, DNS, or Stripe).
The routing data provided by this Service is derived from OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and ONS postcode data (Open Government Licence v3.0). When displaying results from the API in your product or service, you must include the following attribution:
These attributions may appear in your app footer, about page, or terms of service.
The Job Bookers Routing API, its software, documentation, and derived datasets (including computed drive times) are the intellectual property of Job Bookers. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any part of the Service.
You retain ownership of any applications or products you build using the Service, provided you comply with these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms — in particular the no-caching clause (section 5) or the acceptable use clause (section 3).
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe billing portal. On cancellation, your API key will be deactivated at the end of the current billing period.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Job Bookers shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by you during that period.
Drive times and distances provided by the Service are estimates based on road network data and should not be used as the sole basis for time-critical decisions. They do not account for real-time traffic conditions, roadworks, or other dynamic factors.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to the address associated with your account at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For any questions about these Terms, contact us at hello@jobbookers.co.uk.
